After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014, I used to film DniproHES every time I was in Zaporizhzhia. I expected that Russia would destroy it one day.
On 22 March 2024, Russia hit DniproHES eight times, ruining the hydroelectric power station Dnirpo-2, damaging the 60-metre dam, spilling oil products into the river, and threatening the world with another environmental disaster following the destruction of the Kakhovka dam in June 2023 and 1500 cases of damage to nature from Russia’s war.
